We were flying the plane named "TAIL WIND" (41-29359) and it was the March 27, 1944. and it was the 6 th mission. I am vague about the details now but it seems to me that we started our bomb run from out in the sea of Biscay. In sort of remember that boats dock along the shore were shootin at us. If I remember, there were planes lined up on the air field. I do recall seeing the parked planes get blown up and the buildings getting demolished. It seemed to me that we demolised the field and what was on it.
If I remember, it was a long mission, perhaps 8 or 9 hours long. Also on our return to England we were hampered by bad weather and low on gas ,so our group had to land at an English field,we stayed there overnight and returned to Horsham the next day. This is about all that I can remember.

I am Melvin Kenyon, Member of crew # 61 - 458 BG ,755 th Sqd.
When I said we started our bomb run out in the Sea of Biscay. I meant that we picked up our target or could see the airfield while we were still out in the bay.
