BIARRITZ

GERMAN FLAK IS RESPONSIBLE

Translation

Some Biarritz inhabitants, in order to inocent Mr. Roosvelt ‘s aviators of the 27 March massacre, have made up the following story. If bombs were dropped on non military targets, it is because German Flak had hit one of the aircrafts which immediately got rid of its load.

As you may see, you just had to think of it ! On the other hand, should the Flak not have acted, the same people would have said that the Germans had not protected the town.

In fact everybody has perfectly seen the orders given by the American leader which released its bombs with a flare.

Immediately after this signal, bombs started to fall already in the sea.In a pattern bombing as Biarritz suffered, the idea is to spread the bombs to the span of the formation to be sure the target is included.

For any good faith observer, dammages caused to our coast were indeed the result of a Pattern Bombing. If bombs had been dropped by a single plane in distress, small damage would have been caused.

The considerable area destroyed on the 27 March proves it was not the case. If you add bombs were dropped from 4 to 6000 meters altitude, from planes flying 4 to 500 kph, the area bombed was considerably increased and the accuracy disminished.

The responsability for the massacre only concerns aviators and not the German Flak.
